Metroshingle

Metroshingle earns its name from the traditional timber 'shingles' which are popular in North America. but they are, in fact, a simple and neat looking smooth tile with all the lightweight strength and durability of Metro's steel roofing range. They can be used wherever you would a fit plain tile - and in lots of other plaes as well.

The secret is in the Secret Fix

no exposed nails = no rust = no falling tiles = no worries

With a unique inter-lapping design and no exposed fixings, Metro shingles are suitable for the harshest climates and locations - and, because of their lower weight, virtually all roof constructions.

Modern bitumen shingles and bitumen membranes have proved to be durable in both scorching tropical and freezing arctic weather conditions. That’s why, for example, in the USA, over 80 % of pitched roofs are covered with bitumen roofing shingles!

Durability is not the only reason why bitumen
shingles are the stylish and intelligent roofing
choice of the modern builder. It is the whole
system that tips the scales in favour of bitumen shingles – add to durability the great appearance of the new bitumen shingles, ease of installation and maintenance, and reasonable costs – and you will have no difficulty in making the decision.
Katepal roofing shingles combine the durability of stone and the waterproofing qualities of bitumen with excellent elasticity. Thanks to the staggered assembly all joints are covered, and the roof is waterproof at nailing points and joints.

Durability also means that the surface of the shingle does not peel or rust. Snow and ice
accumulating on the rough mineral granule surface stay on the roof in the winter and do not fall on pavements or garden plants. In rain and hard wind bitumen roofing shingles are comfortably quiet.
